"Shark weak"

Films: Shark Night (2011)

Alias: Various, notably oceanic white tips, bull sharks, cookie cutter sharks, hammerheads, sand tiger sharks, and great whites

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of their average shark species.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Shark Week is something of a common joke amongst shark enthusiasts. It masquerades as education when in reality it revels in painting such a wonderful species in an excessive negative light. Only a fool would believe that they could try and top such nonsense. But alas, a fool is born every minute, and said fools were more resourceful than they had any right to be.

History: Dennis and his pals are big fans of Shark Week, and many other shows like it. And they’ve figured out a way to capitalize on its success. How? Through snuff cinema, that is! Yes, their plan is to kidnap people, and subject them to death traps involving all sorts of sharks in their private lake. The only escape is via the water, and the sharks are mostly allowed to swim free there...

Notable Kills: The first and perhaps only cookie cutter shark assault, and of course, in this private lake, shark jumps you.

Final Fate: There are only two visitors left by the end of this night, and they are nearly fed to a great white shark. Thankfully, Dennis is eaten instead, and the shark is killed with a captive bolt pistol. However, even as they are safe, the sharks still lurk in the water.

Powers/Abilities: Inexplicable tolerance to fresh water.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-The CGI isn't quite as good as it should be, but just imagine being faced with most of the sharks that pop culture fears. And it doesn't even have to be a messy demise at the teeth of a great white or hammerhead either. You will know how deadly cookie cutter sharks can be after this. All of that said, how the Hell did any of them sans the bull sharks survive all that FRESH water?!

Trivia: -All of the practical sharks were built by Edge Innovations, the very same people behind the makos in "Deep Blue Sea" and the orca from "Free Willy".

-Shark Week has been fraught with criticism and backlash for often veering off into fake documentaries and sensationalism regarding sharks. Nowhere was this more apparent than the slew of fake Megalodon documentaries making it seem like the large shark was still around. Even after that, there was a tizzy involving pitting an Olympic swimmer against a (fake and computer-generated) great white. 2020's little thing involving Mike Tyson proved they had learned virtually nothing.

All one can really do.

From submarines and whales to humans. Bit of a step down.

The cheapest shark cage trip ever recorded.

And then nothing happened because of scientific accuracy.
The fear of the deep is forever within you.

Nothing like the backstrokes amidst terror!
